About The Wellness Greek
Creator, Frank Kladis
Picture this: A chronically sick and sleep-deprived Greek-American attorney checking emails while brushing his teeth at 5 AM, rushing to squeeze in a gym session before another day of performing legal “triage” in the corporate world, and wondering why – despite doing everything "right" – he felt completely empty inside.

That was me.

My Story: The Birth of a People Pleaser
Born to Greek immigrant parents who worked seven days a week (my dad as a butcher and kitchen cook, my mom in a factory), I learned early that success meant working yourself to the bone. My grandma, who couldn't read or write even in Greek, raised me while my parents chased the American dream.

I was the designated translator at age four (who learned to speak English by watching Sesame Street), the good son who did everything right, the people pleaser who checked all the boxes:

-
Get good grades ✓
-
Become an attorney ✓
-
Work endless hours ✓
-
Make everyone proud ✓
But here's what they don't tell you about checking all the boxes: sometimes you box yourself in.
The Breaking Point
Despite being "the healthiest person" everyone knew (hey, I'm Greek – olive oil runs through my veins), I kept getting sick. Bronchitis. Sinus infections. Constant fatigue. My body was literally rejecting the corporate rat race.

"How can you always be sick? You're the healthiest person I know!"

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that... well, I wouldn't have needed that corporate job.

Sound familiar? Keep reading to discover how I finally broke free...

The Greek Awakening
Remember those Greek relatives I mentioned? The ones from my parents' village who lived into their 90s without ever following some strict “diet” plan, seeing a gym membership, or downloading a meditation app?

They knew something we've forgotten:

-
Joy doesn't come from a corner office
-
Community matters more than credentials
-
Sometimes the simplest things bring the deepest fulfillment
During my breakdown (or breakthrough, depending on how you look at it), I remembered watching my relatives in Greece. They had so much less than we did in America, but they were undeniably happier.
